The ISAF Sailing World Cup Regattas are all graded as 200-point regattas in the ISAF World Ranking System. The format that will be used for the 2013-14 ISAF Sailing World Cup that starts in Qingdao, China will be decided in advance of the first warning signal.

The ISAF Sailing World Cup is a world-class annual series for Olympic sailing. It is open to the sailing events chosen for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing Competitions.

The ISAF Sailing World Cup brings together the existing major regattas on the Olympic sailing circuit, starting in Australia, before moving to the USA and finishing in Europe. Over 2,000 of the world's leading sailors representing 75 nations competed in the fourth season of the World Cup, 2011-2012. By scoring competitors across all regattas included in the season, the ISAF Sailing World Cup offers a definitive guide to the best-of-the-best in the Olympic sailing world.

 

Sponsorship is organised at regisonal level with each of the 5 regattas.

ISAF Sailing World Cup Dates

Qingdao, China

From 13-19 October, Qingdao, China will host the first stop of the 2013-2014 ISAF Sailing World Cup.

Melbourne, Australia

From 2-8 December 2012 ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne returns to Sandringham Yacht Club, bringing together the world's top Olympic and Paralympic class competitors. The regatta is the first big hit out after London 2012 for sailors who are campaigning for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing Competitions. ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne is the first of four regattas included in the 2012-2013 ISAF Sailing World Cup, the fifth edition of the annual series for Olympic sailing.

The major regatta of Yachting Victoria was first held in 1994 and is enjoyed by sailors for the great sailing conditions prevalent on Port Philip Bay and the spirit with which the event is conducted.

Miami, USA

From 26 January to 2 February 2013 ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami returns to the waters of Biscayne Bay, bringing together the world's top Olympic and Paralympic class competitors. The regatta is a mainstay on the winter circuit for sailors who are campaigning for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing Competitions. In 2013, the ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami is the second of four regattas included in the 2012-2013 ISAF Sailing World Cup, the fifth edition of the annual series for Olympic sailing.

Palma de Majorca, Spain

From 30 March - 6 April ISAF Sailing World Cup Palma returns to Majorca and the Meditteranean, bringing together the world's top Olympic and Paralympic class competitors. The regatta signals the start of the European circuit for sailors who are campaigning for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing Competitions. ISAF Sailing World Cup Palma is the third of four regattas included in the 2012-2013 ISAF Sailing World Cup, the fifth edition of the annual series for Olympic sailing.

Hyeres, France

From 20-27 April 2013 ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères returns to the French Riviera, bringing together the world's top Olympic and Paralympic class competitors. ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères is the final regatta included in the 2012-2013 ISAF Sailing World Cup, the fifth edition of the annual series for Olympic sailing.
