Olympics: The organising committee for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games has announced its 49th domestic sponsorship deal, signing up Marudai Food Co Ltd as a third-tier official supporter in the 'ham, sausage bacon, kamaboko, roasted pork and spare rib' category.
Marudai is one of four official supporters of the Games, and sits beneath 15 top-tier gold partners and 30 official partners of the event. In February John Coates, chair of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) coordination commission for Tokyo 2020, said that US$2.91 billion had been raised in sponsorship for the Games so far, with a Tokyo 2020 spokesman telling industry title Sportcal that there was "no concrete target" for total revenues.
Soccer: Youth-focused digital soccer content outlet Copa90 has agreed a partnership with Snapchat ahead of the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia. The deal will see the messaging platform produce 45 first-person daily bulletins from fans at the tournament in English, French, Arabic, German and Spanish.

Also in soccer: Spanish top-tier soccer club Celta Vigo have agreed a sponsorship deal with Canary Islands-based airline Binter. The company will sponsor stoppage time during the team's home games in La Liga.
More soccer: Pay-TV soccer broadcaster GolTV has announced the launch of the GolTV Play OTT service in Canada. The US$9.90 per month network will carry five weekly matches from Portugal's top-tier Liga NOS.
Golf: Women's golf's LPGA has unveiled health insurance brand Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina as the presenting sponsor of its reworked Q-Series qualifying tournaments. The tour also announced that the final stage of this year's series will take place at the Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina from 22nd October to 3rd November.
More golf: Memphis will be the home of a new World Golf Championship event in 2019, sponsored by FedEx, the PGA Tour has confirmed. The WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational will replace Akron's WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
Also in golf: The PGA Tour has agreed a four-year deal with tyre brand Bridgestone, which will be the title sponsor of the Senior Players Championship veterans' event at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio from 2019 to 2022.
Further golf: The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and the European Tour Foundation will be the official charity partners of the short-form GolfSixes event at Centurion Club in St ALbans, UK on 5th and 6th May.
Tennis: The UK's Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has signed a six-year extension of its partnership with Keith Prowse. The company will continue to provide and develop hospitality services and concepts at events including the Fever-Tree Championships, the men's Wimbledon warm-up event at Queen's Club in London.
Motorsport: Nascar team Stewart Haas Racing have agreed a one-race primary sponsorship deal with Wix Filters. The filtration products manufacturer's colours will appear on Clint Bowyer's number 14 Ford in the Nascar Cup Series race at Chicagoland Speedway on 1st July, with the company likely to have committed around US$500,000.
Also in motorsport: Cooper Tire Europe has confirmed that it will be the official tyre supplier to the FIA World Rallycross Championship for a fifth consecutive season in 2018.
Sailing: World Sailing has announced that the Italian port of Genoa will host a stop on the World Cup Series calendar in 2019 and 2020.

The International Table Tennis Federation has signed a new three-year sponsorship deal for the World Table Tennis Championships with Tata Wooden Door. The Indian company will become, naturally enough, the official wooden door partner of the tournament, and will back the return of the Tata Trickshot Challenge at this year's event in Sweden.
